March 4th 2021 – Canada had the 7th highest percentage of international students enrolled in post-secondary education in 2017 in comparison to other OECD countries.
Year after years, the number of foreign students are rising in Canada. In 2019, the country issued more than two times the amount of student permits that it did in 2015. In 2019, Canada welcomed a total of 827,586 international students. Of these, 402,427 new study permits were issued. This is a 15% increase from 2018.
Canada’s best post-secondary institutions are University of Toronto, University of British-Columbia and McGill University. They qualify into the top 50 of the World University Rank in 2021.
