September 3, 2020 – An Irish Immigrant Investor application and his accompany family members can apply to obtain Irish citizenship (Ireland Passport), through naturalisation. After five years of the residence permission, the applicant and his accompanying family members can apply to obtain the Irish passport if they establish that they were physically residing in Ireland for not less than twelve (12) months before the filing the citizenship application and that they were physically residing in Ireland for a minimum of four years out of the preceding eight years.
The applicant can establish his residence by providing government issued proof (such as P60, Property Tax, Social Welfare, etc.), mortgage statements, bank statements, wages slips, lease agreement, etc. A physical absence from the country for purpose of holidays or work up to six (6) weeks in any year in the last five (5) years – except for the last year which has to be continuous – will not result in the loss of residency.
